Left Gonzar around 7.00 am, passing through the small hamlets of Castromajor and Hospital Alta da Cruz before reaching Ventas de Naron with its small chapel “Capilla Maria Magdalena” – where a pilgrim’s hospital was once located. Another good day walking through the Galicia countryside with around 23 kilometres walked. Left Casanova just after 7.00 am arriving in Melide around 2 hours later. Visited the church of Santa MarĂa de Melide, a national monument – its Romanesque altar (one of the few Romanesque altars left in Galicia)
