Day 30 Casanova

A much better day with rolling hills, dirt tracks, and country lanes. Left Gonzar around 7.00 am, passing through the small hamlets of Castromajor and Hospital Alta da Cruz before reaching Ventas de Naron with its small chapel “Capilla Maria Magdalena” – where a pilgrim’s hospital was once located. On through Ligonde and Chacotes before reaching the small town of Palas de Rei with the Iglesia de San Tirso. Purchased a poncho in a local shop to replace my waterproof jacket inadvertently left in a bar earlier in the day. From Palas de Rei the journey took me through San Xulian before arriving at my bed for the night in the small hamlet of Casanova. Journey today around 23 kilometres.
