Todays walk was easier – Exmoor size hills ! Much of the walk was through woods and forests following river similar in size to the Barle. Lots of wild flowers including a glorious dark blue aquilegia that lined one of the woodland paths. Pamplona a delightful Spanish city with a modern and old cathedral with wonderful religious carvings and art work. Met up with old and new friends for supper – eating outside on a balmy evening.
On my journey to Pamplona visited an old 13th century church, Iglesia de San Esteban in Zabaldika, and after climbing the bell tower was allowed to ring the 13th century bell – wonderful – a truly holy place.
Walked around 17 miles today and feeling okay. Tomorrows walk is around the same distance.
